The following are my attempts via different media. As an aspiring artist I welcome constructive criticism or maybe even the odd compliment should one appeal to a fellow enthusiast. All are available in original form or no more than a run of ten limited prints.

Bramhall Hall,

Beautiful framed and found a special place to be admired

Organised Chaos

Watercolour on  300GSM paper. As a base I used graffiti spray then added the colour

Chaos Speaks

Oil on oil with more oil on a box canvas, messy but hard to look away from

Tumultis

Pictures do not do this justice, it has a million variations especially when the sun catches the fine glaze finish

Torr Vale Mill, New Mills

Super fine .005 and .003 micro markers which even I find hard to believe it worked. An old mill that I just couldn’t pass without getting the drawing equipment out

Yves Klein Blue

      Passing Dogs (2024) (2024)

An early attempt at abstract, not quite the blue I could make and needed 3 covers. Bit cheeky but I like my idea which I’d not seen before. Two passing dogs 🙄

Oxford Road at Christmas

I’m sure I’m not the only one to see the opportunity to exploit one of the most iconic streets. The image lets down the definition here but I wanted to post for Christmas

Old Deansgate (2016)

Probably my first serious attempt to draw, especially such an iconic building. Probably a few more buildings gone up now but then the Hilton hotel looked tremendous

Harsh Times (2017)

Unfortunately there are too many homeless but this poor individual caught my attention in Buxton pavilion gardens

Wondering squirrel (2022)

It obviously didn’t pose for me here but I managed to get my phone out to catch the brazen beast

Pop Plum

Some say plum some say cherry, practice at reflections bordering pop art

After birder

Not the most imaginative name but the photo this was taken from is iconic in Concorde taking off on full afterburner. Oh and I got to play with my graffiti cans. Hand drawn flames and tricky to get everything aligned

The green Queen

I mean no disrespect here, just experimenting

Jack the fox

Cheeky fox came to window of my long standing friend’s house. Very early sketch and more practice

The origin

A poor Mr Charles Darwin, playing with pencil and shadings

Only the brave

For my favourite barista

Skyline part one

An easy way to make a skyline look good, plus red bus. Really does need a steady hand and a bit of geography

Basket case

Great range of colour to practice, this is just watercolour on A4. The wood looks even better in the actual picture
